【Review | May 8th: Learning from a Master | Taipei First Girls' High School Welcomes Nobel Laureate in Chemistry】

On the morning of May 8th, the "Taipei City High School Charity Event – ​​Learning from a Master," organized by the Taipei City Education Bureau, was held at Taipei First Girls' High School. The event was honored to have David WC MacMillan, the 2021 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, engage in a dialogue with students from several Taipei high schools, creating an inspiring and thought-provoking scientific feast.

To allow students to witness the glory of the Nobel Prize firsthand, Professor MacMillan specially brought his Nobel Prize medal from abroad, eliciting surprise and emotion from the audience. Students not only had close contact with an internationally renowned master but also saw the medal symbolizing the highest honor in global science, creating a warm and unforgettable atmosphere.

Thanks to Taipei First Girls' High School for co-organizing the event and the Taipei City Education Bureau for their meticulous planning, allowing young students to exchange ideas and engage in dialogue with world-leading scientists during their youth, inspiring greater imagination for the future.
