【Recap | Highlights of Jack Dongarra's Charity Lecture at Taipei University of Technology on May 8th 】

As part of the "Taiwan Nobel Prize Week" series of events, a joint charity lecture by Taipei universities, organized by the Nobel Prize International Cultural and Educational Exchange Association and co-organized by National Chung Cheng University, took place on the morning of May 8th at Taipei University of Technology. The speaker was Professor Jack Dongarra, the 2021 Turing Award laureate.

His lecture focused on "How Young Students Can Participate in Science and Innovation in the Future." Professor Dongarra used vivid examples to introduce his forward-looking contributions to high-performance computing (HPC) and supercomputer applications, and encouraged students to bravely enter the scientific field and seize opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and technological breakthroughs.

The venue was packed, and the atmosphere was enthusiastic. Young students from various universities actively asked questions, which Professor Dongarra answered sincerely, demonstrating a leading international scientist's passion for education and expectations for future generations.

Through this lecture, students not only gained a deeper understanding of computing and scientific innovation but also inspired their imagination and confidence in participating in future global challenges.
